The Governing Board of the South Central Ohio Educational Service Center met for regular board meeting on Feb. 4, 2016.

Among the actions taken by the board during meeting:

• Approved the agenda,
• Approved the minutes of the organizational meeting and regular meeting on Jan. 14, 2016,
• Took reports from the treasurer, superintendent, and board committees,
• Entered into executive session for the purpose of conducting the evaluation of the superintendent/treasurer and discussing appointment/compensation of a public employee,
• Appointed Mike Canter to the Scioto County Career Technical Center Board of Education, filling the unexpired term left by the passing of Raymond Belcher on Jan. 9, 2016; term Feb. 4, 2016, until Dec. 31, 2016,
• Appointed Lowell Howard to the South Central Ohio Educational Service Center Governing Board of Education, filling the unexpired term left by the passing of Raymond Belcher on Jan. 9, 2016; term Feb. 4, 2016, until Dec. 31, 2017,
• Appointed committee members,
• Authorized fund advances and/or transfer of funds,
• Approved a resolution to employee substitute employees from 2015-16 – Leanne Allen, Sweden Carter, Kaitlin Gable, Chaise Hall, Jarod Smith, Ashlee Hicks, Britany King, Juanita Montieth, and Brittany Zetting,
• Accepted the resignation of Dustin Keslar, effective Feb. 10, 2016; and,
• Authorized employment of Jamie Garcia.
