Biographical Information:
Scott grew up in Southern Ohio and graduated from South Point High School in 1988. He earned his B.S. in Elementary Education 1-8 with a Math Concentration from Ohio University at the Southern Campus in Ironton. Scott completed his Master's Degree in Educational Administration, as well as his Superintendent's License Program, at Ohio University with the majority of the coursework completed at the Ironton campus. He is very proud of the fact that the vast majority of his education took place right here in Southern Ohio. While all of Mr. Holstein's education was provided here in Ohio, his 21 years of experience in education has been divided between three states.

Mr. Holstein started his career as a fourth grade teacher in Killeen, Texas. After three years there, he accepted a position as a third grade teacher in Greenup County Kentucky at McKell Elementary. Mr. Holstein spent six years in the Greenup County School District in a variety of positions including: an elementary school teacher, Title I teacher, District Curriculum Resource Teacher, and Assistant Middle School Principal. In 2003, Scott finally "came home" to Ohio to work as Assistant Elementary Principal and Transportation Supervisor for the Bloom-Vernon Local School District. He served nine and a half years as Elementary Principal, Title I Coordinator, and Early Childhood Administrator at Bloom-Vernon Elementary. Mr. Holstein came to the South Central Ohio Educational Service Center to serve as Assistant Superintendent in January of 2015.
