Related/Direct Services
 
Direct services are provided to students in the areas of audiology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychology, speech/language pathology and vision. School psychologists and speech/language pathologists work in local school districts in Scioto County. Audiologists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists and teachers of the Visually Impaired provide services in cooperating school districts in Lawrence, Pike, Ross, Scioto, and Jackson counties. These services include assessment, participation in the development of IEPs, and the provision of direct and consultative interventions. 

In addition, the South Central Ohio E.S.C. provides cooperative units for Hearing Impaired (HI) students. The HI unit supports K-12 students from Scioto and Lawrence counties and is located in the Green Local School District.

Referral Form
The Direct Service Referral Form is to be used for participating district's referrals for audiology, vision, occupational therapy, and physical therapy services.

If the child has previously been evaluated by the Direct Service Team and an evaluation is needed as part of a special education reevaluation, you may use the ETR Evaluation Planning Form to denote the evaluation area being requested by the district. Please mail or fax a copy of the ETR Evaluation Planning Form and the PR-05 Parent Consent Form to our office
